How does it work?
Come in – for one person, an appointment is not needed (unlike with wedding hire), explain your needs, get measured, and we’ll make up the outfit for you to pick up at a time convenient to your event. Henry’s tries to make it as simple as possible!
What do I/don’t I get?
It depends on the type of outfit you need – we’ll make sure you have everything you need to look fantastic.
How long can I have the outfit for?
We generally hire with the expectation that you’ll have it for three days (across a weekend). If you need it for longer than that, extended hire prices are available on request – or you can try the cruise package! (html link needed there)
What happens when I come in?
Once you let us know what you’re looking for, we will get you measured and hopefully have you try an outfit on to see how it looks. (This may not be possible with certain outfits.) We’ll take your details and then have your suit ready to be picked up on the day agreed upon (usually two days before a Saturday event, for instance).
How far ahead should I book an outfit?
As always, it depends on the season and holiday. For instance, if you’re planning on going to Ascot, wanting a dinner jacket for New Year’s, or getting a suit for a prom, as early as possible! In general, two weeks’ notice is the minimum.
What do I do if I lose/damage/etc something?
Firstly, don’t panic! Explain the issue when you drop off the suit and we will arrange an appropriate solution. We do reserve the right to charge for repair or replacement of any item return in a heavily soiled or damaged condition. Whenever possible, we repair, but if the damage is too great we may have to charge for a replacement.
If, as sometimes happens in England, you find yourself caught out in a heavy rain, the garments will recover best if you simply hang them and allow to dry naturally away from excessive heat.
Remember, you do not need to attempt to repress or clean any normally used item. Return it to us and we’ll take care of it.
